RE: ID: often, each 'student' or whatever resource would have a "slug" or "id" that was a simplified lower-case version of the title or an ugly UID (unique ID) number. This would be a little more 'internal' to the code than the public facing name. Then you could use that to add an ID or class to each of the user cards.

RE: custom card colors: We can talk about a way to place --custom-properties inline / as an alternate way to allow for custom colors.
